For this assignment we were told to take panoramic, or pano for short, pictures. We had to use a tripod and take 3-5 photos going across a scene. Later we had to put the photographs into photoshop and stitch them together in order to create one big photo/pano. What I learned
Before this assignment the only times I had ever taken a pano was on my phone. Doing that is way less complicated than what we did in the assignment. I learned how to stitch photos together and that you can even stitch them together in different styles as well. I think It ended up pretty nicely in the end.

This week I chose animals as my subject for taking photos. I really tried to focus on bringing out my dog'd personality and the little details that people probably wouldn't see at a first glance. I also tried to capture his eyes as well. ISO 3200 F/5.6 Shutter Speed 1/100
This week I chose macro as my topic. I chose this as my topic because I have always enjoyed taking pictures of flowers. This was also a good time for me to pick a topic because my friend has a garden and she let me take picture of her flowers. The goal was to try and capture the little details and bring interest into places people wouldn't normally look at. (best photo) ISO 800 Aperture f/5.6 Shutter speed: 1/250 ISO 320 Aperture f/5.6 Shutter Speed: 1/250 ISO 250 Aperture f/5.6 Shutter Speed 1/250 ISO 100 Aperture f/5.6 Shutter Speed 1/640 ISO 320 Aperture f/5.6 Shutter Speed 1/250 I learned I think most about adjusting and using the lens this week when taking photos. You have to be a certain distance when taking photos of up close objects like glowers. This is some that I didn't know before and I also learned that you can use rule of thirds to make bring out little details
For this assignment we were asked to re touch a photo on photoshop. We needed to take out most of the background and touch up a few spots using the clone tool. The goal of this assignment was to learn about different tools and apply them to the photo. Original photo My edit I learned a lot about Photoshop first off. I didn't even know that something like the clone tool even existed. I also learned about how intricate the process is of editing a photo. You have to pay a lot of attention to details as well. I hope to learn more about photoshop in the future!
This week I have chosen to do macro as my topic. Below are a few photos I found that I think represent macro really well. I hope to really focus on bringing out small details the you wouldn't normally see in the object. I think that these pictures do a really nice job of capturing texture. I think the photographer also brings out the vibrancy of color in the objects as well. I have a friend with a blooming garden so I plan to head there and hopefully get some good photographs.
For the assignment I picked a topic from a list as my subject. This week I chose to do people as my subject. I chose this because over the weekend my mother asked to take my older sister's senior pictures. I tried my best to capture her fun and light personality. Aperture: f5.6 Shutter Speed: 1/80 ISO: 640 Aperture: f4.0 Shutter Speed: 1/80 ISO: 400 Aperture: 4.0 Shutter Speed: 1/80 ISO: 320 Aperture: f4.5 Shutter Speed: 1/80 ISO: 250 Aperture: f5.6 Shutter Speed: 1/80 ISO: 100 Aperture: f5.6 Shutter Speed: 1/80 ISO: 100 What I Learned:
I think the most important thing I learned is that positioning is key. Using different perspectives or the rule of thirds brings attention to certain details and make the picture interesting. So I positioned my camera and sister in different spots and in the end it made my pictures have a high quality. This was our first photoshop assignment. For the project we were assigned to use a snapshot of ourselves and colorize them. We had to also make copies so that there were multiple copies in the final product This was the first original photo. This was the second original photo. Popart 1 Popart 2 What I learned:
I learned a lot about photoshop during this project. I had no clue how to adjust saturation or use the hue until this assignment. I also learned how to make multiple copies of one photo. For my first shooting assignment I am choosing to focus on people. I want to focus on capturing personalities in a shot. I also hope to get better at focusing in the right spots to draw more attention to certain details. Below are some of the photos that I have found online to use as inspiration. I think these pictures demonstrate the use of capturing people's personalities. My parent's asked me to take my older sister's senior photos so I think that will be my subject for the week.
For this project we were assigned to take photos showing shutter speed and aperture. For shutter speed we had to take 4 photos of the same moving object ranging from blurred motion to frozen action. For aperture we have to take 4 photos showcasing one object ranging to very blurred backgrounds to distinct backgrounds. Aperture f6.3 f10 f16 f22 Shutter Speed1/60 1/250 1/700 1/1000 What I was trying to show:
For the aperture pictures I was trying to demonstrate how by adjusting the f-stop number the background changes in or out of focus. In my pictures I started with a large aperture and then as you scroll down the the aperture increases in number so the background becomes a little more clear. For the shutter speed I was trying to show the movement of the fan. I was trying to show that by increasing the number the fan's movement becomes more clear. As you scroll down you see the fan starting to be frozen and when you reach the last picture the fan has the "frozen motion" affect, For this project we took pictures based off of the elements of composition. The elements we used were texture, space, rule of thirds, pattern, symmetry, lines, perspective, depth of field, balance, color, and framing. Our assignment was to take a picture for each of these elements. TexturebalanceRule of Thirds Pattern Symmetry Lines Perspective Depth Of Field Space Framing Color Reflection: I learned a lot about composition that I didn't know before. For example I had no idea that are so many elements and what they are. I learned that by using these elements we can draw more focus and attention to our pictures. I will be using these for sure in future pictures.
