This was our first photoshop assignment. For the project we were assigned to use a snapshot of ourselves and colorize them. We had to also make copies so that there were multiple copies in the final product This was the first original photo. This was the second original photo. Popart 1 Popart 2 What I learned:
I learned a lot about photoshop during this project. I had no clue how to adjust saturation or use the hue until this assignment. I also learned how to make multiple copies of one photo.

For my first shooting assignment I am choosing to focus on people. I want to focus on capturing personalities in a shot. I also hope to get better at focusing in the right spots to draw more attention to certain details. Below are some of the photos that I have found online to use as inspiration. I think these pictures demonstrate the use of capturing people's personalities. My parent's asked me to take my older sister's senior photos so I think that will be my subject for the week.
For this project we were assigned to take photos showing shutter speed and aperture. For shutter speed we had to take 4 photos of the same moving object ranging from blurred motion to frozen action. For aperture we have to take 4 photos showcasing one object ranging to very blurred backgrounds to distinct backgrounds. Aperture f6.3 f10 f16 f22 Shutter Speed1/60 1/250 1/700 1/1000 What I was trying to show:
For the aperture pictures I was trying to demonstrate how by adjusting the f-stop number the background changes in or out of focus. In my pictures I started with a large aperture and then as you scroll down the the aperture increases in number so the background becomes a little more clear. For the shutter speed I was trying to show the movement of the fan. I was trying to show that by increasing the number the fan's movement becomes more clear. As you scroll down you see the fan starting to be frozen and when you reach the last picture the fan has the "frozen motion" affect, For this project we took pictures based off of the elements of composition. The elements we used were texture, space, rule of thirds, pattern, symmetry, lines, perspective, depth of field, balance, color, and framing. Our assignment was to take a picture for each of these elements. TexturebalanceRule of Thirds Pattern Symmetry Lines Perspective Depth Of Field Space Framing Color Reflection: I learned a lot about composition that I didn't know before. For example I had no idea that are so many elements and what they are. I learned that by using these elements we can draw more focus and attention to our pictures. I will be using these for sure in future pictures.
I'm Elizabeth and this is my photgraphy site. I enjoy playing water polo, clarinet, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and piano. When I have some free time I like to draw. I mostly use colored pencils but sometimes I paint with either watercolors or acrylics. In my family I have an older sister and my parents. I am taking digital photography because I enjoy taking photos and have been doing so for about 3 years. I have taken one class before but for the most part am self-taught.
